Camouflage tattooing is the use of skin toned tattoo ink to precisely match the colour and texture of your skin, effectively improving and camouflaging surgical scars and promoting seamless integration with the surrounding skin. Scar camouflage is a very effective scar treatment for a wide number of skin injuries.
A medical grade serum is used to lighten dark scars as a scar treatment and an alternative to scar camouflage tattooing, multiple sessions may be required.
Skin areas affected by hypopigmentation can be treated with scar camouflage tattooing, helping to provide a more even skin tone.
I provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals looking for scar treatment or scar camouflage tattooing to conceal self-harm scars. I will work with you to develop a personalised treatment plan that meets your unique needs. I have a safe space with no judgement.
This treatment helps to break down the scar tissue and flatten it, allowing for a smoother surface and texture where ink can then be tattooed smoothly and consistently. Scar camouflage tattooing has a much better result once scar tissue has been broken down and the skin has a softer texture.
If your scar is darker than the surrounding skin (hyperpigmented) then scar revision with lightening serums is a better option and has a better long term outcome than placing ink into the skin to disguise the colour. Darker scars generally occur in darker skin tones, multiple sessions are usually required
Another option for scars that have healed darker, or in some cases the client will have a lighter scar, with a darker halo of pigmentation around it. This often happens with stretchmarks. These types of scars can be treated with a combination of needling and the use of Cosmelan or Dermamelan creams.

No I don't, vitiligo can easily be triggered to develop further with tattooing, so I advise seeking a dermatologist.
It will help to blend the colour but not the texture. Inkless Scar Revision is advised first to help flatten and smooth the scar before tattooing
2 sessions are recommended for the best results, although thicker scars may need multiple sessions.
